January, February, March

March is a busy time to visit Cambodia, and the temperature are likely to rise to the 30 degree Celsius (86 Fahrenheit). Water levels begins to fall from the end of the month, meaning that Tonle Sap lake is not as impressive as the previous months.
April – May
The temperature these months is high, often exceeding the 35 degree Celsius (95 Fahrenheit). Your temple exploration should start from early morning and resume at mid afternoon rather than doing full day excursion. It is not inconvenient to have noon break at your hotel since Angor park is not far from the downtown.
Few showers should be expected as of May when the wet season is fast approaching. The downpours just helps to break up the humidity and heat.
Tonle Sap lake is no longer on the top list of must-see in Siem Reap due to water level, meaning that the boat ride on the lake is less interesting.
The Chaul Chnam Thme (Cambodian New Year) takes place in April. The event falls on either 13 April or 14 April.
